Documentary about the abuse of psychiatry for political purposes in the former Soviet Union. Hanna Michailenko, an Ukrainian schoolteacher from Odessa was locked up in a psychiatric hospital from 1980 until 1988 for refusing to work for the KGB.

Among other awards, the film won the Dutch Student 'Tuschinski' Award, the Silver Spire award at the Golden Gate Festival San Fransisco, the David L. Wolper Student Achievement Award at the IDA in LA.
